Chase McCormick drives the #5 Crate Late Model Class car.  His home track is Wythe Raceway but he can also be found racing at 311 Speedway.  He lives in Dobson, NC.

Team members helping Chase are:  Herb, Wilford, Brian, Bill, Clyde, Larry, Anthony.  Jimmy  & Scarlett McCormick are the car owners.

Chase started racing in 2006 in the Crate Late Model Class car because his Daddy has raced all of Chase's life and Chase loved it.  His first win was that same year.  Career highlights include first win, first Rookie of the Year, first Point Championship in the first year he raced (2006).

The thrill of racing for Chase is the speed and trying to control the speed.  His most exciting racing moment was his first win.  He had been close for 3 weeks, winning in his Rookie season.  He's most proud of starting 23rd on his first race and finishing 8th and not spinning out!

Chase's racing hero is his Dad, Jimmy McCormick.

Of racing, Chase says, "I love it!  It is a great sport!".
