Clay Jones drives the in the Super Late
Model Class. His home track is Southern National Speedway but
he can also be found racing at Concord Motorsports Park, Hickory
Speedway, Shenandoah Valley Speedway, Coastal Plains Speedway, Myrtle
Beach Speedway, Motor Mile, Orange County Speedway, Florence Speedway
and Greenville-Pickens Speedway. He lives in Goldsboro, NC.

Clay started racing in 2002 in the 4 Cyl
Class at Southern National Speedway and Coastal Plains Speedway because
he comes from a racing family. His Father is a former owner and
driver, Grandfather is a former owner and driver and race track
operator. Clay's first win was in 2003 in the 4 Cyl at the
Southern National Speedway. Career highlights include 2003 4 Cyl
Rookie of the Year and finished 3rd in the Points, 2004 Super Late Model
Rookie of the Year, finished 3rd in the Points and awarded Sportsman of
the Year, 2005 Concord Motorsports Park "Big 10" Super Late Model Rookie
of the Year, finished 11th in the Points, 1 Pole win and Southern
National Thanksgiving Classic Winner.
The thrill of racing for Clay is the
competition and winning. His most exciting racing moment was his
first win at Concord Motorsport Park in Big 10 and 1st win at Southern
National Thanksgiving Classic. He's most proud of winning at
Concord Motorsports Park Big 10, outrunning Freddie Query at his home
track.
Clay's racing hero is his Dad, John
Jones.
