Jim Raptis drives the #77 Sprint Class car.  He lives in Marietta, GA.  His  #77 car is the red Maxim.

He started racing in1970 in the Limited Late Model in Douglasville, GA on Friday night, Dixie on Saturday night and Rome on Sunday night because it had been his dream since childhood.   His first win was in 1971 in the Limited Late Model at Rome Speedway.  Career highlights include 1971 Limited Late Model Champion at Rome Speedway and his wins in Super Late Model on asphalt.

The thrill of racing for Jim is winning a 2001 A Main Feature on dirt in the Sprint car at Augusta Speedway.  His most exhilarating racing moment was in 1977 at Talledega during the 500 Winston Cup Race, he came from 38th to the top 10 before hurting an engine part.  He's most proud that he's been able to stay married and in love with his wife, raised two wonderful kids and at the age of 55 he's still winning!!
