Frank Smith

Frank Smith drives the #17 Super Late Model Class car.  He lives in Mechanicsville, MD.  His home track is Potomac Speedway but he can also be found racing at Virginia Motor Speedway.

He started racing in 1993 in the Enduro Class at Potomac Speedway because a friend asked him to driver his car.  His first win was in 1994 in the Enduro Class.  Career highlights include:  1994 Enduro Champion, 1994 Champion of Fall Classic Race, 2002 Top 3 finish at Potomac and top 6 finish at Thunder Cross.

The thrill of racing for Frank is the enjoyment of hard work and preparation and doing them the best that you can.  His most exciting racing moment was the first time he came to East Bay and saw how fast this track was.  He's most proud that he won't allow himself to take away the special times with his family and how much they are behind him.

Franks racing heroes are all that go out and give it their all.
