Bill Posey, State Senator, drives the #00 Classic Class car.  He lives in Rockledge, Fla.  His home track is Orlando Speedway but he can also be found racing at New Smyrna Speedway and wherever Classic series races.

He started racing in 1962 in the Stock Class at Eau Gallie Speedway because it was always something he'd wanted to do.  His first win in the Stock Class was in 1968 at Eau Gallie Speedway and his first win in Super Late Model was in 1982 at Orlando Speedway.  Career highlights include 7 straight wins in Super Late Model races at Orlando Speedway in 1991.

The thrill of racing for Bill is that he just enjoyed it....he and his Dad did it together.

Bill's first racing hero is Lee Petty.

Of racing, Bill says, "Most fun you can have with your clothes on.  At the race track it's racing and not politics!".
