Troy Van Allen

Troy Van Allen drives the #2x Legends Masters Class car.  He lives in Concord, NC.  His home track is Concord  Motorsports Park but he can also be found racing at Caraway Speedway.

He started racing in 1972 in the Mic Rods Class at Syracuse, NY because his father got him started.  His first win was that same year.  Career highlights include:  Ran Dwarf cars in Central NY for 10 years, 126 career wins, 4 Championships at Breverton Raceway and Skyline Raceway.

The thrill of racing for Troy is to get in the car and do the best he can.  His most exciting racing moment includes many but racing side by side with some of his competitors is his favorite.  He is most proud of being able to race at Eldora and finish in the top 5.

Troy's racing heroes are Jim Shampine and Steve Kinser.

Of racing, Troy says, "It's fun, a lot of work, very expensive, the most rewarding thing I've ever done!".
