Tony Hanbury

Tony Hanbury drives the #45 Legends Class car.  He lives in Owego, NY.  His home track is Tioga Motorsports Park and Chemung Speedrome but he can also be found racing at Evans Mills Int'l Speedway and Kauneonga Speedway.

He started racing in 2000 in the Sportsman Modified Class at Tioga Motorsports Park because his aunts and uncles raced.  His first win was in 2002 in the NASCAR Modified Class at Chemung Speedrome.  Tony was Rookie of the Year in 2002 at Tioga, Chemung and ROC Tour.  In 2003 he was Track Champion at Tioga in Legends.

The thrill of racing for Tony is being able to race 3 or 4 nights a week and it is challenging.  His most exciting racing moment was winning his first Modified Race in 2002.  He is most proud of his Championship in the Legend Class in his first year.

Tony's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.
