Dave Hackathorn drives the #5D Late Model Class car.  He lives in St.Marys, WV.  His home track is Tyler County Speedway.

He started racing in 1990 in the Street Stock Class at Tyler County Speedway for the love of racing.  His first win was in 1992 in the Street Stock at Skyline Speedway.  Dave is the 2003 Track Champion in Jackson, Ohio and won 4 Feature wins.

The thrill of racing for Dave is the speed.  He's most proud of being a low budget racer, racing as much as he can.

Dave's racing hero is Kenny Schrader.
