Rex King drives the #65 V-8 Modified Class
car. He lives in Bristolville, Ohio. His home track is Sharon Speedway but
he can also be found racing at Tri City Speedway.
Crew and others who have helped include,
John Zedler, Jim Reese, Ricky King, Russell King, Brandy and Allen and Don
Nichols. Car is owned by the King Brothers.
He began racing in 1983 in Modified Class
at Sharon Speedway, it is a family operation. His first win was in 1986 in
Modified Class at Eriez Speedway. Career highlights include 1985 2 Track
Championships, 1995 5 Track Championships at Sharon Speedway and in 1996
Track Championship at Mercer.
The thrills of racing for him are the
competition and racing family. The most exciting racing moment for him was
when he beat Lou Blaney in 1986 at Raceway 7 on the High Side. He is most
proud of keeping it a family oriented sport and of being a good role model
for kids.
Rex's racing heroes are Ed Lynch Sr. and
Dale Earnhardt.
