Dan Vauter drives the #85 Big Block
Modified Class car. He lives in Forest City, PA. His home track is Cayuga
County Fairground Speedway in Weedsport, NY. He can also be seen racing at
Penn Can.

Dad, Mom, Brother and Shelly Stanton.
He began racing in 2000 in Pro Stock Class
at Penn Can Speedway because his Father was racing and Dan helped him out
and wanted to try it himself. His first win was in 2000 at Penn Can in Pro
Stock Class. Career highlights include, Rookie of the Year-Pro Stock at
Penn Can, First win was at Penn Can at age 14 in 2000. Rookie of the Year
Sport Mod. Penn Can 2002, Track Champion Five Mile Point 2003 and Youngest
ever Track Champion 358 Modified.
The thrills of racing for him are just
doing it and spending time with his family. His most exciting racing
moment was his first win in the Pro Stocks and taking the lead with 1 to
go to when after starting 16th. He is most proud of his wins and
Track Championship at Five Mile.
Of racing, Dan says, "That the Saturday
Night Tracks put on a better show than NASCAR".
