George Landis drives the #5 Classic Mod Lite Class car.  His home tracks are Charlotte County Speedway and Orlando Speedworld.  He lives in Boynton Beach, FL.  Maryl Polichena, his life partner, helps him on his car.

He started racing in 1998 in the Classic Mod Lite Class car at Hialeah Speedway because he was tired of drag and road racing.  He was looking for more seat time and fun.  His first win was in 1998 at Charlotte County Speedway.  Career highlights include 1998 2nd place Rookie by 1 point and 3rd in Series, 2001 3rd place National Champion and 2004 Senior Champion. 

The thrill of racing for George is close racing, competition and friendship.  His most exciting racing moment was racing the outside groove, wheel to wheel for 5 laps to win.  He's most proud of clean, past racing. 

George's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt Sr.
