Stephen Hershey
#7
Stephen Hershey drives the #7 Minicup
Class car. His home track is Poughkeepsie Speedway but he can also
be found racing at Mountain Speedway. He lives in Collegeville, PA.
People who help Stephen are: Jim Hershey (car owner), Steve Frith,
Timmy and Rick Buckwalter.
He started racing in 2004 in the Minicup
Class at Long Island because some of his friends raced and he liked racing
in video games. His first win was in 2004 in the Quarter Midget
Class at Pheonixville. Career highlights include several 2nd place
finishes.
The thrill of racing for Stephen is
meeting new people, driving, missing school and passing cars! His
most exciting racing moment was flipping over a bail of hay in Long Island
with the Minicup. He's most proud of actually finishing a race.
Stephen's racing heroes are Ryan Newman
and Matt Kenseth.
Of racing, Stephen says, "It's fun and you
get to meet new people. Most people are nice and they will help
you!".
