Kevin DeYoung drives the #13 Modified Class car. He lives in DeMotte, IN. His home track is Shady Hill Speedway but he can also be found racing at KanKaKee Speedway.

He began racing in 1999 in a Bomber at Shady Hill Speedway because his family was already racing. His first win was in 2000 in same Class at the same Track.

Career highlights include, 2001 Track Championship Street Stock, 2003 Track Champion Super Stock, 2003 Blue Collar 40 Super Street and 2004 5th Points Shady Hill Modified. 1 on 1 Champion at Shady Hill. 2007 UMP  Modified Champion at Shady Hill.  Runner up in the Alabama State Championship race in 2007.

The thrill of racing for Kevin is the competition. Seeing if all your hard work  and driving ability matches up with the competition.

His most exciting racing moment was the Blue Collar 40 in 2003. He lead lap 1 to 40. The same year his head Pit Man passed away. He is most proud of working on his own car himself and doing pretty well.

Kevin's racing hero is Bloomquist.

Of racing, Kevin says, "East Bay Raceway Park is extremely fast. There aer a lot of good people around you, and everyone is there mostly tohave fun, but winning is nice too".
