Deron Rust drives the #396 Dirt Modified Class car.  He lives in Georgetown, DE.  His home track is Delaware Int'l Speedway but he can also be found racing at Hagerstown Speedway, Volusia Speedway Park and Bridgeport.

Crew and others who have helped include, Ed, Mike, Doug, Tammy, Wayne, Irene and Tammy. Car is owned by Springfield Racing.

He started racing in 1984 in the Late Model Class at Georgetown Speedway because his Father and uncles raced.  His first win was in 1988 in the Modified Class at Delaware Int'l Speedway.  Deron won the Camp Baring Benefit in 1989, For Kids Camp, Small Block at Hagerstown Speedway and he ran at Eldora.

The thrill of racing for Deron is just the love of the sport.  In the winter he hunts deer but otherwise it's all racing.

Dale Earnhardt is Deron's racing hero.

Of racing, Deron says, "Com to the race......try it........you'll like it....especially the dirt tracks!".
