David McCoy drives the #187 Crate Late Model Class car.  His home track is Toccoa Speedway.  He lives in Franklin, NC.

Team members helping David are:  Rick Cofer, Terry Wisnant.  Kenny Harris is the car owner.

David started racing in 1996 in the Pony Class at Smokey Mountain Raceway because it was a family tradition.  His first win was that same year.  Career highlights include Track Championship at Smokey Mountain Speedway in1997, 1998 and 1999, finished 2nd in 2004 Track Champion at Taccoa Speedway, 9 Feature wins at Taccoa Speedway, 2006 Super Late Model Track Champion at Toccoa Speedway and several in Limited Late Model and Hobby at Smokey Mountain Speedway.

The thrill of racing for David is the victory!  He's most proud of his $5,000 Feature win at OSP in '07.

David's racing hero is Dwayne Hommel.
