Austin Dillon
#3
Austin Dillon drives the #3 Crate Late
Model Class car. His home track is 311 Speedway but he can also be
found racing in north Georgia. He lives in Welcome, NC.
Team members helping Austin are:
Dale McDowell, the car owner.
Austin started racing in 2005 in the
Bandolero Class at Lowes Motor Speedway because there is a history of
racing in his family and he thought he'd try it. His first win was
in 2005 in the Bandolero Class at Concord Motorsports Park. Career
highlights include driving Super Late Model at Florence Speedway and his
first Legend car win at Concord Motorsports Park.
The thrill of racing for Austin is the
speed and the adrenaline rush. His most exciting racing moment was
starting outside row four and in 25 laps coming to the front and winning
in his Legend car at Concord Motorsports Park. He's most proud of
jumping in bigger, faster cars with little experience and doing well.
Austin's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt
Sr.
Of racing, Austin says, "It's a sport
where you push the limits at all times and all the pressure is on
yourself and it is the #1 spectator sport in America!".
