Jay Crichton drives the #4c Crate Late Model Class car.  His home track is Seymour Raceway.  He lives in Lake Villa, IL.

Team members helping Jay are:  Jim Crichton, James Frank, Scott Heath, Chris Hope, Conner Crichton, T. J. Crichton.  Crichton Motorsports is the car owner.

Jay started racing in 1985 in the Street Stock Class at Wilmont Speedway, racing the same car on dirt and asphalt for something to keep him busy and to learn auto mechanics on a car.  His first win was that same year.  Career highlights include winning Track Championship in '87.

The thrill of racing for Jay is meeting the different people.  His best racing moment was at Rockford Speedway racing where all classes mixed up and Jay won.  He's most proud of winning a race every season for 26+ years in every division. 

Jay's racing hero is Whitey Harris who was Jay's neighbor who won 22 Track Championships.  Jay learned a lot from him.

Of racing, Jay says, "Racing costs a lot of money but you learn how to manage it.  It's a great learning experience!".
