Hot Rod LaMance drives the #8 Crate Late Model Class car.  His home track is Riverside Speedway.  He lives at Six Mile, SC.

Team members helping Hot Rod are:  Buddy, BJ, Creek, Debra & Teresa.

Hot Rod started racing in 1976 in the Rookie Class at Toccoa Speedway and Fountain Inn Speedway because his employer built a race car for him.  His first win was that same year.  Career highlights include 1991 Track Champion at Cherokee Super Speedway, 1982, 1991, 2005 and 2006 Track Champion at Riverside Speedway and 2002 Track Champion at Lavonia Speedway.

The thrill of racing for Hot Rod is winning.  His most exciting racing moment was the South Carolina Dirt Track Outlaw Championship.  He's most proud of being competitive for 30 years.
