Mike Mataragas drives the #1M Late Model Class car. he lives in Dekalb, Illinois. his home track is Bureau County Speedway, but he can also be found racing in the Northern Allstars Series.

He began racing in 1999 in Street Stock Class as LaSalle, because he had been watching his Dad race since he was born. He knew since he could walk that racing was what he wanted to do. his first win was at LaSalle in Street Stock Class in 1999.

Career highlights include, 2994 Bureau County Speedway Late Model Championship and 2002 6th in Northern All-stars Series.

The thrill of racing for him is the competition. His most exciting racing moment  was his first Late model Feature win. He is most proud of the 2004 Championship that he won.

Mike's racing hero is C. J. Rayburn.
