Michael Chilton

Michael Chilton drives the #97 Late Model Class car. He lives in Harrodsburg, KY. His home track is  the Ponderosa Speedway, but he can also be found racing at Bluegrass Speedway and Scenic Raceway.

He began racing in 1997 in Go Karts at Brodhead Speedway. In 1998, he began racing Mini Cups, and in 2001, Late Models. He grew up around racing  with Timmy Yeager and his Dad was into racing.

His first win was in 2002 in Late model Class at Burnside.  Career highlights include, many wins in Mini Cups, Youngest Person to make Jackson 100 in 2002, 2 wins at Scenic Raceway in 2004. In 2002 he had 1 win at Burnside (Lake Cumberland) Speedway, and in 1999 MMRA National Dirt Champion in Mini Cups.

The thrill of racing for Him is the speed. His most exciting racing moment was his 1st win at Lake Cumberland Speedway. He is most proud of making the Jackson 100 when he was only 16 years old.

Michael's racing hero is Billy Moyer.
