Rain Delays SDW Town Mechanical Inc. Sportsman Championship To Sunday

Syracuse, NY – October 6, 2007 – By Tom Skibinski, DIRTcar Racing NorthEast PR Director

Intermittent rain on Saturday forced DIRTcar Racing NorthEast officials to postpone the Town Mechanical 30 Sportsman Championship to Sunday during the final day of Super DIRT Week XXXVI at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse.

Originally slated to run at 4 p.m. today immediately following the conclusion of the ITT Corporation-Goulds Pumps 150-lap ‘Salute to the Troops’ Mr. DIRT 358-Modified Series Championship, periods of rain throughout the afternoon lengthened the Small-Block event to five hours leaving officials with no other option but to reschedule the TWI Sportsman finale to tomorrow morning.
