Lonnie Wheatley, GIBSONTON, Fla. (January 26, 2006) – Texan Travis Rilat triumphed in the opening night of East Bay Raceway Park’s Eighth Annual “King of the 360’s”, racing into the lead on the fifth round en route to topping the season-opening 25-lap feature for the O’Reilly American Sprint Car Series National Tour presented by Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores.

Terry McCarl gunned into the lead at the outset from the pole position, but outside front row starter Rilat dove underneath McCarl to snare the lead exiting turn four on the fifth round.

Rilat, the 2003 ASCS National champion, set sail and posted a convincing victory aboard the Motor Mike-powered F&J Construction/Haulmark Trailers No. 29, with McCarl settling for the runner-up slot.

Jason Sides raced from 13^th to claim the show position, with Tim Montgomery and Greg Wilson rounding out the top five.

Two-time and defending ASCS National champion Gary Wright charged from 18^th to finish sixth, with Tim Shaffer, Wayne Johnson, Scott Winters and Jan Howard completing the top ten.
