Chris Winters drives the #X UMP Late Model
Class car. His home tracks are Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway and
Mt. Vernon Raceway but he can also be found racing at Belle-Clair
Speedway. He lives in DuQuoin, IL.

Chris started racing in 1989 in the UMP
Class at White City and Tri-City Speedway because his Dad raced, John
Moore. His first win was in 1991 in the UMP Class at Mt. Vernon
Raceway. Career highlights include 1989 3rd in Points in Rookie of
the Year, finished 5th in the Points in Modified, 2nd in Points in '04,
3rd in Points at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in '05, and Steel Block at
Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway for $2500 to win.
The thrill of racing for Chris is the
speed. His most exciting racing moment was winning at Kentucky
Lake Motor Speedway and winning UMP Modified. He's most proud of
his 3rd place finish in the Rookie Points.
Chris's racing heroes are Freddy Smith
and Tony Stewart.
Of racing, Chris says, "Spend a lot of
