Jason Black drives the #09 Modified
car. He lives in Glendale, AZ.
He began racing in 1991 in Quarter Midget
Class at South Mountain because his Dad raced. He saw an ad in a newspaper
for Quarter Midget Racing, went out to watch, bought a car and has
been racing ever since. His first win was in 1991 same Track and
Class. Career highlights include, Multiple Quarter Midget Track Records
Ernie Bose World Record Southwest Tour Heavy B. Champion (Quarter Midget)
and rookie of the Year (Modified Midget).
The thrill of racing for Jason are all of
the new people he meets. His most exciting racing moment was his first
IMCA win in Perris, Ca. He is most proud of his positive reputation with
his fellow racers and all of the fans.
His racing hero is His Dad Bill
Black (The Ironman).
Of racing, Jason says, "Racing has
brought me the most memorable times of my life, there is no other rush
like it".
