Marlin Kracht
#19k
Marlin Kracht drives the 19k Modified car.
He lives in Luverne, Mn. His home track is Murry County Speedway, Slayton,
Mn. but he can be found racing all of the USA.
He began racing in 1987 in Hobby Stock
Class at Rapid Speedway, Rock Rapid, Iowa, because it was too expensive to
do it on the streets (and illegal). His first win was in 1989 same Class
and Track. Career highlights include, 2000Track Championship at Murry
County Raceway, 45 Feature wins total and Rapid National Championship in
1991.
The thrill of racing for him is being
further than the rest of the cars on the track. His most exciting racing
moment was the first race he ever ran in a Modified. He won the Feature at
Interstate Speedway in 1997. He is most proud of winning half the races at
Murry County Raceway in 2000.
His racing hero is Alan Kulwicki.
Of racing, Marlin says, "If you are going
to race, don't do it halfway, give it everything you got".
