Leonard A. West
#19W
Leonard A. West drives the #19W
IMCA Modified car. He lives in Mabelvale, Ark. His home
track is I-30 Speedway but he can also be found racing at Beebe, AR and
West Plains, MD.
He began racing Go Karts in 1968 at
Addison, Vt. because he liked to race with his cousins. His first win was
in 1970 in Karts at Brookfield, Vt. Career highlights include 1987 Granite
State Mini Sprint Champion. He has raced Go Karts, Mini Sprints, Street
Stock, Northern NASCAR Late Model Sportsman, Drag Cars and now runs an

The thrill of racing for him is wheel to
wheel sideways on dirt. His most exciting racing moment was attending the
IMCA Supernational at Boone. He is most proud of building, owning and
operating Sugar Hill Speedway in Weare, NH. for 13 years, and building his
own cars.
His racing heroes are Dave Dion and Bob
McCreadie.
Of racing, Leonard says, "IMCA Racing is
the best weekly racing program in the USA!".
