He began racing in 1984 in 4 Cyl. Class at Riviera Raceway, NE. because he has always liked cars and the competition of racing. His first win was in 1985 in 4 Cyl at Riviera Speedway. Career highlights include 1997 Cheaters Day Champion-Sioux Empire Fairgrounds, SD. 1997 Track Champion-Street Stock- Park Jefferson, SD. and over 40 Career wins in 4 Cyl. Street Stock and Modifieds.

The thrill of racing for him is winning. His most exciting racing moment was  in 200, he had to run a "B" Feature-Modified-won. Started in back of the Mod A Feature and passed for the win coming out of turn 4 on last lap. Also won 2000 Modified Season Championship Race. He is most proud of being able to win in Several Classes and do almost all of the work themselves. Motors Setup, Gears.
