Joseph Long
#37
Joseph Long drives the #37 Modified car.
He lives in Bryant, Ark. His home track is I-30 Speedway but he can also
be found racing at Beebe Speedway.
He began racing in 1999 in Hobby Stock
Class at I-30 Speedway because he got tired of being a Crew Chief and
decided to become a Driver. His first win was in 1999, same Track
and Class. Career highlights include 1999 Rookie of the Year Hobby Stock
(I-30) 3d in Points, 2000 Track Champion Hobby Stock I-30 Speedway, and
2003 IMCA Modified Rookie of the Year at I-30 Speedway.
The thrills of racing for him are the
competition and the fact that they do it as a family. His most
exciting racing moment was winning his Heat Race at the Boone Nationals
and running the "A" Main with racing greats such as John Logue,
Henry Whitt Jr., Johnny the Jet, David Murry Jr., and all of the other
greats. He is most proud of finishing in the Top 10 every year since he
began racing.
His racing heroes are (asphalt) Jeff
Gordon and (Dirt) Billy Mayer.
Of racing, John says, "How fun it is, yet
how hard the work is".
John's favorite racing websites are
www.luvracin.com
www.midsouthracing.com
and www.nascar.com .
