Jimmy Hiett drives the #55 Modified car. He lives in Anniston, Ala. His home track is Talladega Short Track but he can also be found racing at Columbus, MS.

He began racing in 1989 in Bomber Class at Talladega Short Track because he enjoys all types of racing and good competition. His first win was in 1989 in same Class and Track. Career highlights include, 1990 Talladega Short Track Thunder and Lightening Track Champion, 1994 TST Open Wheel Champion, 1996 TST Sportsman Champion, 1997-1998 TST IMCA Champion (modified), 1998 Gulf Coast Region Champion (Modified) and 1997 National Rookie of the Year (Modified).

The thrill of racing for Jimmy is the close competition. His most exciting racing moments were his first win, his son Jason's first win and his son Jeremy's first win. He is most proud of winning over 100 races.

His racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.
