Alan Mondus drives the #55 A Modified
Class car. He lives in Lakeville, MN. His home track is Algona Speedway
but he can also be found racing at Mason City, Owatonna and Deer Creek.
He began racing in 1995 in Quarter Midgets
at Elko Speedway because his dad is a retired racer. His first win was
in 1995, his first race, Eldora Speedway, in Quarter Midget Class.
Career highlights include 7-Quarter Midget Track Championships 1995-2002,
78 Quarter Midget "A" Feature wins and 2000 Speedweek National Champion
JSCA.
The thrills of racing for Alan are the
speed, the love for the sport, going 100 mph into a corner on dirt.
The most exciting racing moment for him was racing at "Night of 1000
Stars" this year (2004) at Britt. He is most proud of winning the JSCA
Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia (Quarter Midgets).
Alan's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.
Of racing, Alan says, "It is a very fast
