Ron Tharp drives the #75 Hobby Stock Class car. He lives in Dysart, Iowa. His home track is Benton County Speedway but he can also be found racing at Boone Super Nationals.

He began racing in 1988 in Hobby Stock Class at Benton because it has been a family thing since the Figure 8 Races. His first win was in 1994 at Benton in Hobby Stock Class. Career highlights include winning the Dick Hogan Memorial Race 4 times Mid Season.

The thrill of racing for Ron is the excitement you can give the young fans. His most exciting racing moment was  the Dick Hogan Memorial Mid-Season Championship. He is most proud of the friends he has made through his years of racing.
