Michelle Ploeckelmann drives the #77P IMCA
Modified Class car. She lives in Green Bay, WI. Her home track
is Seymour Tri Oval, but she can also be found racing at Antigo, Beaver
Dam 1/2 Mile and Shawno Speedway.
She began racing in 1996 at Seymour Tri
Oval in IMCA Modified Class after working on a race car half of the Season
prior to 1996 and wanted to start driving herself. She loves the sport and
the challenge. Career highlights include, 1996 Rookie of the Year- Seymour
Tri Oval,2002 and 2003 Joann Hatton Award-Dodge County Raceway, First
woman to win a Heat Race at Thunder Hill Speedway in 2000.
The thrills of racing for her are the
speed and the challenge. Her most exciting racing moment was winning the
Heat Race at Thunder Hill Raceway, and the first year racing in Iowa
at the Nationals. She is most proud of sticking with it no matter how hard
it gets and not letting the guys push her around, taking Rookie of the
Year and winning a Heat Race.

Of racing, Michelle says, "It is allot of
fun. The thrill is unbelievable. I do not think you will find another
sport where your competitors (for the most part), are willing to help you
out when needed".
