Jim Mathieson drives the #M80 Modified car. He lives in Sioux City, Iowa. His home track is Blackbird Bend Motor Speedway, Onawa, Iowa, but he can also be found racing at Buena Vista Speedway.

He began racing in 1980 in Hobby Class at Interstate Speedway. His first win was in  1982 at Buena Vista, Cheater's Day. Career highlights include racing with Doug Wolfgang, Heat Race wins this year Blackbird Bend.

The thrill of racing for him is being competitive every night. His most exciting racing moment  was racing Boone. He is most proud of building his own cars and engines and being very competitive.
