Rod Grother drives the #77 Hobby Stock Class car.  His home track is Benton County Speedway but he can also be found racing at Independence Motor Speedway.  He lives in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Team members helping Rod are:  Randy Olson, Gene Freeman, Randy Bearherns, Buzz Webser.

Rod started racing in 2002 in the Hobby Stock Class at Benton County Speedway because it looked like fun.  His first win was in 2004 in the Hobby Stock Class at Independence Motor Speedway.  Career highlights include 3 wins at Independence Motor Speedway, 1 win at Benton County Speedway and Season Championship Race win in 2005.

The thrill of racing for Rod is the challenge.  His most exciting racing moment was when Noah came to Benton County Speedway....he was an 8 year old with cancer.  He's most proud of the year 2005.

Rod's racing heroes are Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Sr.

Of racing, Rod says, "It is the best!".
