Merle Bass drives the #8 Hobby Stock Class car.  His home track is Buena Vista Raceway.  He lives in Varina, IA.

Team members helping Merle are:  Mike, Pat, Nehring Gang.

Merle started racing in 2005 in the Hobby Stock class at Buena Vista Raceway for the excitement.  His first win was in 2010 in the Hobby Class at Mineral City Speedway. 

The thrill of racing for Merle is sliding sideways through the corners 2 or 3 wide.  His most exciting racing moment was winning his first Feature at his home track.  He's most proud of racing clean against the other drivers.

Merle's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.

Of racing, Merle says, "Come watch it is exciting!".
