Mike Hansen drives the #12H A-Modified

Jefferson Speedway and Buena Vista Speedway. He lives in Alton,

Mike started racing in 1998 in the Stock
Lite Go Kart class at Sibley, IA because his Uncle had a Cart he raced.
Mike started racing Modifieds in 2003. His first win was in 1999
in the Stock Class at Allendorf. Career highlights include 75
Feature wins in a Cart, 4 Track Championships from 2000-02, 8 top 5's in
IKF Nationals, 12 Feature wins in B-Modified and 2003 Track Championship
at Blackbird Bend Speedway, 41 top 5's out of 50 races, 2004 IMCA Rookie
of the Year in Modifieds North Central, 5 wins and 55 top 5's, 2005 10
Feature wins, 2nd in Points at Blackbird Bend Speedway, 2nd in Points at
Buena Vista Raceway, 1st in NASCAR Points at Park Jefferson Speedway.
The thrill of racing for Mike is to
compete with the best. His most exciting racing moment was running
2nd in NASCAR's Division 2 Regional Points in 2005 and IMCA Rookie of
the Year in 2004, both of which he is most proud.
Mike's racing heroes are Rusty Wallace,
Bill Elliott, and Ken Shrader.
Of racing, Mike says, "When you race
four nights a week the advantages totally outweigh the disadvantages -
hard work pays off!".
