Michael D. Smith drives the #96 E Modified/IMCA Modified Class car. He lives in Arkport, NY. His home track is Brewerton Speedway, NY. but he can also be found racing at Skyline Speedway.

He began racing in 1990 in Street Stock Class at Woodhul because his Father had taken him to the tracks since Michael was a child. His first win was in Wyoming County in Black Top Mod Class in 1998. Career highlights include 22 Career Wins.

the thrill of racing for him is the competition. His most exciting racing moment was  Heat wins at Boone 2002 and 2003. He is most proud of the help he gives to other race teams.
