Michael Manson drives the #49 A-Mod Class car.  His home track is Independence Motor Speedway.  He lives in Manchester, IA.

Michael started racing in 1975 in the Street Stock Class at Independence Motor Speedway after helping his boss that raced and he got the bug.  His first win was that same year. 

The thrill of racing for Michael is the competition and meeting all kinds of people.  His most exciting racing moment was making Main at Super Nationals his first year.  He's most proud of building his own cars and having best year ever.

Michael's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt Sr.

Of racing, Michael says, "If you can't put complete concentration into this sport, don't start racing.  Race from the stands!".
