Larry Franken drives the #69k Stock Car Class car.  His home track is Benton County Speedway.  He lives in Washburn, IA.

Team members helping Larry are:  Doug Firgard, Karla - wife, Kayla and Dustin - children, Jerry - Father-in-law.  Larry and Karla Franken are the car owners.

Larry started racing in 1997 in the Hobby Stock Class at Independence Motor Speedway because his wife said, "Let's do it!".  His first win was in 1999 in the Hobby Stock Class at Benton County Speedway. 

The thrill of racing for Larry is the fastest the old man can go.  His most exciting racing moment was the 2006 Super Nationals.  He's most proud of trying to race to have fun.

Larry's racing hero is Doug Firgard #42 Modified.

Of racing, Larry says, "It's not a sport, it's a life style.  It's a family sport because my daughter is a cheerleader and can pull a motor!".
