David Smith drives the #8 Stock Car Class
car. His home track is Buena Vista Raceway but he can also be
found racing at Shelby County Speedway. He lives in Lake City, IA.

David started racing in 1995 in the
Figure 8 Class because it looked like fun. He started racing in
the Stock Car Class in 2001 at Buena Vista Raceway. His first win
was that same year. Career highlights include winning 20 races in 2005, winning Tiny Lund Race at Shelby
County Speedway in 2003 and 2005 and winning the Race of Champions at
Boone Speedway.
His most exciting racing moment is every
time he wins. He's most proud of keeping his cool when he has
trouble.
David's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt
