Damon started racing in 1994 in the Hobby Stock Class at Marshalltown Speedway because his Uncle David got him started.  His first win was in 1995 in the Hobby Stock Class at Marshalltown Speedway.  Career highlights include 1999 placed 2nd in Hobby National Championship, 2000 won HObby National Championship, 2005 won Stock Car National Championship, 2004 won Stockville Championship in Knoxville, 2006 won Stock Car Shootout at Marshalltown Speedway, 2005-2006 won Track Championship at Benton County Speedway.
