Nick Lakes drives the #17L Sport Mod Class
car. His home track is Park Jefferson Speedway but he can also be
found racing at Blackbird Bend Speedway. He lives in Scotts Bluff,
IA.

Nick started racing in 2004 in the Sport
Mod Class at Blackbird Bend Speedway because it runs in the family.
His first win was in '05 in the Sport Mod class at Interstate Speedway.
Career highlights include '05 Interstate Speedway Topless Nationals
winner, '06 Blackbird Bend Speedway Track Champion, 2 wins, finished 19th
in A Main at Boone Super Nationals.
The thrill of racing for Nick is the
challenge. His most exciting racing moment was winning the
Championship in '06. He's most proud of being consistent and winning
the Championship.
Nick's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.
