 Gatlin Leytham

Gatlin Leytham drives the #19G Sport Mod Class car.  His home track is Marshalltown Speedway.  He lives in Garwin, IA.

Team members helping Gatlin are:  Jeff Butler, Derek Reimers, Mark McNeuer, Ryan Valline.  Fred Leytham is the car owner.

Gatlin started racing in 2010 in the Sport Mod Class at Marshalltown Speedway.  His first win was that same year.  Career highlights include coming 1st and 2nd with his Dad their first season as a multi car team.

The thrill of racing for Gatlin is the adrenaline rush and when you are the first to cross the Checkers.  His most exciting racing moment was his first win.  He's most proud of being able to compete at the level he is in his first year.

Gatlin's racing hero is his Dad because he taught Gatlin how to race and win and not cheat to do it.

Of racing, Gatlin says, "It's a blast and all it takes is seat time and patience!".
