Jason Vansickel
#37E
Jason Vansickel drives the #37E Late Model
Class car. His home track is Hamilton County Speedway but he can
also be found racing at Boone Speedway. He lives in Webster City,
IA.
Team members helping Jason are:
Cory Anderson, Greg Grotens, Pete Day, Jennifer Vansickel - wife, Emma
Vansickel - daughter.
Jason started racing in 1998 in the
Econo Stock Class at Greenbelt Speedway because his buddies raced and he
was going to the races. He was going to races before he was born
and his Dad films racing UCR Action Video. Jason's first win
was in 1999 in the Econo Stock Class at Hamilton County Speedway.
Career highlights include taking an Econo Stock and went to Mason City
for Hobby Stock Show and qualified beating half the Stock cars.
His 2nd night in a Late Model, led in the Feature.
The thrill of racing for Jason is going
fast. Passing people without hitting them and he enjoys having a
good looking car. He just likes the friends and the speed!
His most exciting racing moment was his first night in Econo Stocks when
he led for 8 laps. He's most proud to say he knows when not to
race. You have to pay bills first. Also, first night in a
Late Model because he always wanted to do that.
Jason's racing heroes are Dirt Mike
Smith and Dale Earnhardt.
Of racing, Jason says, "Don't always go
to win. It's supposed to be fun. You gotta have fun first!".
