Ray Guss Jr. drives the #58 Late Model Class car.  His home track is Quad City Raceway but he can also be found racing at Davenport Speedway.  He lives in Milan, IA.

Team members helping Ray are:  Jene Purvis, Ted Roberts, Chick Cole, Steve Purvis, Ray Guss Sr.  Ronny, Tony, Junior, Roberts.  Hershel Roberts and son Ken Roberts are the car owners.

Ray started racing in 1979 in the Late Model Class at Davenport Speedway because he'd been around racing Late Models and raced Motorcycles.  His first win was in '82 in the Late Model Class at Quad City Speedway.  Career highlights include winning 4 time Nascar champ, Bush All stars, IMCA Championship in 3 classes.

The thrill of racing for Ray is the competition as long as he is competitive.  IMCA is very competitive.  His most exciting racing moment was winning the Springfield in '86.  He's most proud of what they have accomplished this year.  They did it for Hershel Roberts!

Ray's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt Sr.
