Dave Stanton drives the #87 Late Model Class car.  His home track is Marshalltown Speedway but he can also be found racing at the Iowa State Fair Speedway and Hamilton County Speedway.  He lives in Marshalltown, IA.

Team members helping Dave are:  Joe Stanton - son, Bad Mauseth - friend, Frank Stanton - brother, Chad Crain - nephew.

Dave started racing in 1978 in the Stock Car Class at Marshalltown Speedway for fun, the friends and it looked like the thing to do.  His first win was in 1982 in the Sportsman Class at Marshalltown Speedway.  Career highlights include Chain Bounty on Bob Hill at Hamilton County Speedway, Mobil Oil Trophy Dash, back to back Feature wins at Marshalltown Speedway, mid season and next week and Columbus Jct Feature win early in 1989.

The thrill of racing for Dave is the competition and the speed.  His most exciting racing moment was first Late Model Feature win at Hamilton County Speedway and the Chain Bounty on Bob Hill.   He's most proud of spending time with his family as they all enjoy it.
