 Jim is 27 years old and races  late models out of Inverness.  Citrus co is his home track but he also races Orlando and New Symerna.

Jim started racing in 1997 in a Mini Stock. He began because " It has always been a dream to run door to door with the best."

Jim got his first win in a mini stock at Citrus Co. in his rookie year.

He won the Mini stock Track Championship in 1999.

The car is a Chevy Monte Carlo with a 350 engine and a Howe 5th design chassis.

His father is his racing hero.

In 1999 Jim won almost everything.

1999 points champ. Fans Favorite, Driver of the year, and Best Sportsman award.

The biggest thrill for Jim was "being on the outside and going from the back to the front!" 

Jim is running Super Late model class at Citrus Co. and he is going for the Championship.

His goals are to "be a positive representative for both my sport and my Sponsors.  To take my knowledge and skill of auto racing to the next level.  I am looking for that BIG BREAK . I already have my ARCA license and I am just asking for the chance.

His father, Ricky Kencht, Jeff and Kim Bollinger, Wane Hogan, Bobby O'Neal, George Felton and Rick Jarvis help with the program.
