Matt Taylor late model
#117 from Springfield is 31 years of age. He began racing in 1989 in the
limited late model division. His home track is Farmer City and you can
also catch Matt at Fairbury, Macon and Peveley.
Matt’s first win came in 1991 in a late model at Godfrey. Racing is in
Matt’s family, he’s been around the track his whole life. Matt’s
father Dick Taylor was a big influence in his racing career.
Matt’s car is a CJ Rayburn chassis powered by a Chevy 415 Hixson
racing engine. His greatest racing accomplishment is winning the 2000
Herald & Review 100 at Macon Speedway.
Matt would like to thank Dick Taylor, Bill and Cathy West, Robert Moore,
Richard Moore , Fletch and Donnie for all of their help and support in
his racing career.
