     Mike Kurtz pure stock #11 from New Athens, IL is 18 years of age. His home track is BelleClaire and he also races at Highland.

     Mike began racing in 1995 in a go-kart because he "just loved racing"! His first win came in his rookie year at BelleRive. Mike's best points finish was 2nd in 1997 at BelleRive in the Heavy Kart division.

     Mike's pure stock is a 1981 Chevy Monte Carlo powered by a Chevy 350 engine. His racing hero is Jeff Gordon.

     Mike's greatest racing accomplishment is winning the 2001 mid-season championship. His racing goal is to move up to a faster class.
