Ryan began racing in 1994 in a quarter midget. He got his first win in his rookie year at Broadwell raceway in the novice division. Ryan was the 1999 National points champion in the mini sprint division.
Ryan's mini sprint is a Hyper chassis powered by a FTZ F-3 engine. His racing hero is the late Dale Earnhardt.
Ryan's greatest racing accomplishments are 1997 ALQMA dirt championship, 1998 Region 4 points he finished 4th and 1999 National champ in a mini sprint. His greatest racing thrill was starting in the back and coming to the front for a win. Ryan's goals are to win the Jacksonville track championship, move up to pavement midgets and then the IRL.
